Margaret Court Arena is accessible by car, public transport, taxi, rideshare, and bicycle.

Public transport is the quickest and easiest option. Before you attend, plan ahead and allow extra travel time for any major disruptions. 

Parking is available at the Eastern Plaza Car Park (Entrance D, Olympic Boulevard). We strongly recommend pre-booking as drive-up spaces are subject to availability.

Parking is available at the Eastern Plaza Car Park (Entrance D, Olympic Boulevard). We strongly recommend pre-booking as drive-up spaces are subject to availability. Bookings close at midnight the night before the event.

Note: Accessible parking must be pre-booked via Ticketek.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Guests with reduced mobility attending Margaret Court Arena may be dropped off or picked up at the Northern Car Park (Entrance A, Batman Avenue).

All visitors have 20 minutes to drop off or pick up guests. Please note, exceeding this time may result in parking charges.

Guests may also be dropped off or picked up in the accessible parking bays located in front of John Cain Arena on Olympic Boulevard.

Public Transport

Plan Your Journey

Public transport is the quickest and easiest option. Before you attend, plan ahead and allow extra travel time for any major disruptions. 

Melbourne Park is a 10-minute walk from the CBD via Birrarung Marr or Tanderrum Bridge.

Train, Tram and Bus

Getting to Melbourne Park by train, tram or bus is easy, with frequent services stopping within walking distance of the precinct.

Train stations near Melbourne Park:

  • Richmond Station 
  • Jolimont Station 
  • Flinders Street Station 

Tram routes to Melbourne Park:

  • Tram 70 (Waterfront City Docklands – Wattle Park) from Flinders Street or Richmond Station, stops at Rod Laver Arena (Stop 7B), John Cain Arena (Stop 7C) and AAMI Park (Stop 7D). 
  • Tram 48 (North Balwyn – Victoria Harbour Docklands) and Tram 75 (Vermont South – Central Pier Docklands) stop at the MCG on Wellington Parade.    

Bus routes to Melbourne Park:

  • The 246 bus (Elsternwick – Clifton Hill) stops at the corner of Olympic Boulevard and Punt Road. 

Taxi and Rideshare

Our taxi rank is located next to Melbourne Park Oval on Olympic Boulevard, close to all venues and providing a safe, efficient way to hail a taxi.

The drop-off and pick-up point for rideshare services such as Uber is located outside John Cain Arena on Olympic Boulevard. 

We ask guests not to order their rideshare service until they have reached the pick-up point to avoid congestion along Olympic Boulevard. 

Cycle

We encourage guests to cycle to Melbourne Park.

Bicycle parking is available on Olympic Boulevard, outside Rod Laver Arena and John Cain Arena. To use the bicycle parking facility, cyclists must provide their own locks.

Note: management is not responsible for any loss or damage to bicycles parked on site.
