Parking
Is parking available?
Parking is available at the Eastern Plaza Car Park (Entrance D, Olympic Boulevard). We strongly recommend pre-booking; drive-up spaces are subject to availability. Bookings close at midnight the night before the event.
Note: Accessible parking must be pre-booked via Ticketek.
What if parking is sold out?
If parking is sold out or unavailable, several private operators are located near the precinct:
Limited on-street parking is available via the Botanical Gardens along the Yarra River.
Can I leave and re-enter if I’ve pre-booked parking?
No, only one entrance and exit are permitted for your booking.
Am I permitted a grace period if I’ve pre-booked parking?
Yes, you may arrive and leave within one hour of your nominated booking time.
What should I do if I’ve pre-booked and left my credit card at home?
Please speak to one of our attendants or press the help button when you arrive to retrieve your booking.
How do I cancel my booking?
If you’ve pre-booked online, you can log in and manage your booking.
If you no longer need your booking, you can cancel up to 24 hours before the event.
How do I book accessible parking?
Accessible parking must be pre-booked via Ticketek.
We strongly recommend parking is booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
Please note, that there are a limited number of accessible parking bays located out the front of John Cain Arena (Olympic Boulevard).
Prohibited Items
Can I bring a bag?
For most events at Margaret Court Arena, bags must be A4 size or smaller. Larger bags are not permitted.
Exceptions to this are for sports and family events, bags must be able to fit under a seat. A limit of one bag per person applies.
Please refer to your event page for specific bag restrictions.
What if I require a larger bag for medical reasons?
Guests with medical requirements are permitted to bring a larger bag. All bags will be subject to a search on arrival.
Can I bring a handbag to a concert?
Handbags are permitted provided they are A4 size or smaller and do not have studs or embellishments.
Is cloaking available?
Cloaking is available via the Information Desk (Door 7) or Show Court 3. Any prohibited items listed in the venue Conditions of Entry will not be accepted for cloaking.
Can I bring a camera?
Small, handheld personal cameras are permitted. However, cameras with a detachable lens above 300mm are not permitted.
Can I bring a pram?
Prams are not permitted, except for certain sports and family events, where pram cloaking will be made available.
Please refer to your event page for specific pram conditions.
Can I bring an umbrella?
Small umbrellas are permitted but must not be opened within the venue.
Ticketing
Where can I book tickets?
Tickets should only be purchased through the venue’s authorised ticketing partner, Ticketek. For the Australian Open, tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
You should be wary of purchasing tickets through unauthorised sellers, as there is no guarantee these tickets will be valid for entry into the event.
What can go wrong if I purchase tickets from an unauthorised seller?

What do I do if I don’t think my tickets are genuine?
If you think you have purchased tickets that are not genuine, you should immediately contact the person or website who sold them to you.
Unfortunately, it can be difficult to check the validity of a ticket without the original purchaser’s name and details.
You can lodge a complaint against an unauthorised seller to Consumer Affairs Victoria or the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. Your bank or credit card provider may also be able to assist.
How do I know where my seats are located?
Seating maps are available on the Ticketek website, and you can choose your seats before purchase.
Once you have purchased your tickets, you are unable to change your seating allocation.
How will my tickets be delivered?
Tickets purchased online are mobile-only and will be delivered electronically to your device.
To ensure a smooth entry into the venue, download your tickets to your Digital Wallet before arriving.
When will my tickets be delivered?
The timing for the release of mobile tickets is determined by the event promoter.
You may receive your tickets at the time of purchase, or they may be delayed until closer to the event date.
Can I still purchase a ticket without a mobile phone?
Tickets can be purchased online or from a physical Ticketek outlet.
If you are unable to access your tickets via a mobile device, hard-copy tickets can be issued at the venue box office with proof of purchase.
If an event is cancelled, am I eligible for a refund?
Yes. Guests can request a refund via Ticketek.
How can I safely and securely sell my tickets?
If you are unable to attend the event or need to sell your ticket, Ticketek Marketplace is an easy and secure option.
How can I book accessible tickets?
Accessible seating must be pre-booked via Ticketek’s Accessible Bookings Hotline:

How can I make a group booking?
Group bookings can be made via the dedicated Ticketek hotline on 1300 364 001 or [email protected].
Group bookings are available for selected events and are subject to availability.
Retail
Can I pay with cash?
All retail outlets are cashless. Any transactions must be made using a credit or debit card.
Can I bring my food?
Yes, small amounts of food can be brought into the venue.
Can I bring a bottle of water?
Yes, however, your water bottle must be smaller than 600ml and made from soft plastic.
Will merchandise be available to purchase?
Merchandise is available at most events but is determined by the event promoter.
Other
Can I take my child to an event?
Children aged 12 years and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Restricted events (18+) will be marked on the specific event page.
Children aged two years and under are permitted ‘free on the knee’ at most sports and entertainment events, however, may be required to hold a ticket at some family and children’s events.
Please check the specific event page on the Ticketek website for ‘free on the knee’ policies.
When will set times be available?
Set times will be shared on your event page as soon as they are available.
Can I arrive early before the event gates open?
We have 24-hour security across the precinct; however, we ask that you plan your arrival appropriately. Early arrivals are responsible for their own wellbeing prior to the gates opening. We encourage everyone to enjoy their experience by adhering to these guidelines and arriving closer to the gates opening for the best experience. Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated during the event, as well as the hours prior – if you witness anti-social behaviour, please notify security.
Do I need to bring ID?
If you are attending an event that has age restrictions, you may need to show a valid ID upon entry.
You may also be asked to show ID to purchase alcohol.
What time is last entry?
For most events, you can enter the venue any time after it has commenced.
For events which do have a lockout time, details will be shared on the event page closer to the event.

Will the roof be open or closed?
The roof at Margaret Court Arena is closed for all events, except the Australian Open.
Where can I smoke?
Smoking and/or vaping is not permitted inside or within 10 metres of the external doors.
Should you wish to smoke or vape, please do so in the designated area on the external concourse.
How can I report anti-social behaviour during an event?
Anti-social behaviour can be reported anonymously via text message to 0481 614 077.
Guests can also report anti-social behaviour directly to a member of staff.
