Sydney indie-rock duo Royel Otis will perform in Melbourne this October, supporting their sophomore album, hickey.
Royel Otis are in the midst of a whirlwind run through some of the world’s most iconic festivals – including Glastonbury (UK), Governor’s Ball (New York), Lollapalooza (Chicago), and Fuji Rock (Japan). Next, they’ll take their meet me in the car tour across North America before bringing it home to Australia.
The tour follows hot on the heels of their new album, hickey, and the release of their effortlessly infectious single “Car“ – a bittersweet slice of jangle pop named BBC Radio 1’s “Hottest Record” – arriving just a year after their shimmering, ARIA Award-winning debut Pratts & Pain.
Note: Times are approx. and subject to change without notice.
Note: Events may contain sequences of flashing lights, lasers, strobes, haze and pyrotechnics which may affect photosensitive guests, and those with other medical conditions.
With soaring choruses that linger for weeks and melodies that radiate warmth, listening to Royel Otis feels like falling in love with music all over again. In 2024 alone, the duo played more than 100 sold-out shows, selling over 100,000 tickets across Australia, the UK, Europe and the US. They made their US late-night television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and returned to Australia as one of the most-nominated acts at the 2024 ARIA Awards, taking home four awards, including Best Rock Album and Best Group.
Whether crafting original songs or reimagining their favourites, Royel Otis have cemented themselves as one of the most effortless and endearing indie rock bands of the decade – with a live show that turns crowds into a euphoric, unified whole. “We just want to make people dance together,” says Otis. “Everyone’s invited.”
