The world’s most successful dance show, Lord of the Dance, returns to Melbourne for the first time since 2015, hitting the stage this August.

Following a triumphant 2024 world tour comprising over 250 dates, Lord of the Dance continues to captivate audiences by seamlessly blending tradition with cutting-edge innovation. State-of-the-art technology, dazzling special effects, and updated costumes infuse a glamorous, contemporary energy into this reimagined production.

The 2025 Australian tour features 40 of the world’s most outstanding young dancers, led by veteran performer Matt Smith in the role of The Lord, under the direction of Michael Flatley, with music composed by Gerard Fahy.

Important Event Information
  • There are several options for your journey to Margaret Court Arena:
    • Public transport is the quickest and easiest option. Before you attend, plan ahead and allow extra travel time for any major disruptions.
    • Parking is available at the Eastern Plaza Car Park (Entrance D, Olympic Boulevard). We strongly recommend pre-booking as drive-up spaces are subject to availability. Bookings close at midnight the night before the event. 
      • Note: Accessible parking must be pre-booked via Ticketek. We strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. 
  • To ensure a smooth entry into the venue, download your tickets to your digital wallet before arriving.
  • Bags must be A4 size or smaller, and larger bags are not permitted.
  • Cloaking is available via the Information Desk at Door 7, or Show Court 3. Any prohibited items listed in the venue Conditions of Entry will not be accepted for cloaking. 
  • All retail outlets are cashless. Any transactions must be made using a credit or debit card.
  • If you have purchased a VIP package, the event promoter will be in contact with details regarding your experience.

Lord of the Dance

Created by Michael Flatley, Lord of the Dance is the world’s most successful dance show, captivating audiences for nearly three decades with its high-energy fusion of traditional Irish dance and theatrical storytelling. Since its debut in 1996, the production has toured globally, selling out arenas and theatres in over 60 countries. Combining lightning-fast footwork, powerful choreography, and a sweeping musical score by Gerard Fahy, Lord of the Dance has redefined Irish dance for a modern audience.

Constantly evolving, Lord of the Dance continues to push boundaries with cutting-edge technology, dazzling visual effects, and contemporary staging. Under Flatley’s direction, the production has introduced fresh talent, stunning new sequences, and innovative set designs to keep the spectacle as thrilling as ever.
