His major-label debut The Never Story (2017) and follow-up DiCaprio 2 (2018) established him as one of hip hop’s most dynamic voices, earning a spot in XXL’s Freshman Class. He further rose to prominence with Dreamville’s chart-topping, GRAMMY-nominated Revenge of the Dreamers III (2019) and his global hit collaboration with Imagine Dragons, “Enemy,” which achieved 4x Platinum status and nearly two billion streams.

In 2022, J.I.D released The Forever Story, praised as a modern classic and home to the viral 3x Platinum single “Surround Sound.” Building on its success, his 2025 album God Does Like Ugly showcased collaborations with Clipse, Ciara, Vince Staples and more, instantly hailed as one of the year’s standout rap records.
