Goo Goo Dolls

Formed in Buffalo, NY, in 1986 by John Rzeznik and Robby Takac, Goo Goo Dolls have left an indelible mark on American music with their emotionally resonant sound and anthemic hits. Over three decades, they’ve sold 15 million records worldwide, earned four GRAMMY® nominations, and achieved 16 Top 10 hits, setting a radio record for “Most Top 10 Singles.” Known for multi-platinum tracks like “Slide,” “Black Balloon,” and “Better Days,” their influence has extended through covers by artists such as Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers, and Maggie Rogers.

Among their most iconic hits, “Iris” held #1 on the Hot 100 for 18 weeks and became an eight-times-platinum success. With releases like A Boy Named Goo (double platinum), Dizzy Up the Girl (five-times platinum), and Gutterflower, the band solidified its status as a staple in alternative rock. Their legacy lives on through Greatest Hits Volume 1 – The Singles, a limited-edition silver vinyl featuring 14 hits that define their remarkable career and ongoing appeal across generations.
