GRAMMY Award-winning progressive music titans Dream Theater will bring their 40th Anniversary Tour to Melbourne next February.
The tour will be their first in Australia since drummer Mike Portnoy’s return to the lineup, joining vocalist James LaBrie, bassist John Myung, guitarist John Petrucci and keyboardist Jordan Rudess.
Dream Theater will perform classics and fan favourites from their catalogue in what promises to be an unforgettable evening of music.

Dream Theater are pioneers of progressive metal, renowned for blending technical mastery with powerful songwriting. Formed in 1985 at Berklee College of Music in Boston, the band quickly gained acclaim for their intricate compositions, shifting time signatures and virtuosic musicianship. Their breakthrough came with the 1992 album Images and Words, which featured the hit single “Pull Me Under” and cemented their place as leaders of the genre.
Across more than three decades, Dream Theater have released a string of acclaimed albums including Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory, Train of Thought and A View from the Top of the World. Known for their extended live performances and devoted fan base, they continue to push the boundaries of progressive music while inspiring a new generation of musicians worldwide.
