FAQs

Khruangbin

Khruangbin are a jet-setting trio from Texas whose smooth, groove-heavy music is heavily inspired by Thai rock and funk from the 1960s and ’70s, as well as a multitude of other influences ranging from surf rock to dub to Iranian pop. Active since the early 2010s, the group’s indefinable yet singular and highly accessible sound has attracted a remarkably wide audience.

Following the release of their second album, 2018’s Con Todo el Mundo, Khruangbin were regularly playing sold-out concerts around the globe and their music had become a fixture on various streaming platforms. While the band’s material was primarily instrumental throughout the 2010s, they began incorporating more vocals into the 2020s.

SUPPORT

Hermanos Gutiérrez

Brothers Alejandro and Estevan Gutiérrez comprise the instrumental duo Hermanos Gutiérrez. Using traditional guitars, lap steel, and organic percussion, their music evokes the feel of remote spaces and untamed places, from Ecuadorian beaches to the deserts of Mexico and the American Southwest.

They draw primary inspiration from the western soundtracks of Ennio Morricone and Stelvio Cipriani, vintage psychedelia, and classic Latin and South American music from 1950 through the ’70s.

Roxette

Roxette – Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle – came out of Sweden in the late 80’s. Their game was pop, and their mission was to conquer the world. With 33 chart-busting singles and total record sales exceeding 90 million, it seems safe to say “mission accomplished”. They entered the world of pop with “The Look” in 1989, followed up with the mighty ballad “Listen To Your Heart” the same year, the classic “It Must Have Been Love” in 1990, the über-platinum “Joyride” album in 1991, and their first World Tour. For the next ten years they were on top of the charts somewhere in the world, the constant flow of hit singles and albums resulting in staggering record sales.

On December 9 2019, Marie Fredriksson’s 17-year-long battle with cancer came to an end and she sadly passed away. Roxette’s legacy is forever written in the hearts of generations of music lovers around the globe; past, present and those to come.

SUPPORT

Boom Crash Opera

Originally a five-piece formed in Melbourne in 1985, Australian rock band Boom Crash Opera, like many before them, got their grounding from the pub rock circuit.

Power vocalist Dale Ryder was backed by trademark chant style vocals from the other bandmembers, including group co-founders and writing partners guitarist/bassist Richard Pleasance and guitarist Peter Farnan (credited also as executive producers), alongside producer Alex Sadkin, who tragically died shortly after he finished working on the band’s 1987 self-titled debut. Keyboardist Greg O’Connor and drummer Peter Maslen completed the BCO lineup.
